A Ukrainian refugee who fled her nation along with her daughter after Russia invaded, has received the 2022 Jerusalem Marathon, which occurred Friday. Valentyna Veretska, 31, of Mykolaiv, Ukraine, was the primary girl throughout the end line in 2:45:54.

Veretska competed within the race after fleeing Ukraine in late February along with her 11-year-old daughter. Forward of the Jerusalem race, Veretska instructed reporters that she would “run for peace.” She is at present ranked 444th amongst feminine marathoners by World Athletics.
